I have misdemeaner assult charge that is 3yrs. old. would like to get my cdl. Does anyone know of companies that will give me a chance without having to wait a couple more years for the 5yrs is up? want to start school but want to pre-hire first and get reimbursed for training. Thanks for listening. :(

If you're looking to go to a school just get a list of the different companies that that school does business with and call them and explain your situation. Most companies will look past an isolated incident. Also you stop at a truckstop and grab one of the 6 to 8 free employer books and start calling. You'll get a job and may even be able to hire with a company that will train you off the bat so you won't have to pay tuition up front. I went to a school and paid the $6k out of my pocket... But it's been a great investment!
